Poetry and Stillness for Heart and Soul

Open your heart with Poetry and stillness...

Poetry is one of the most universal ways to reach heart and soul. Where other words communicate thoughts and ideas, poetry seemingly bypasses the intellect and conveys feelings and insights directly from one heart to another.

Come to this weekly candle-lit event to experience stillness, music, and poetry. Poetry readings are interspersed with meditative music and a period of silence. You are welcome to offer readings that you bring with you or from the poetry that is provided at the event. Come just for the time of music, silence, and shared readings (19.00-19.45), or stay for a more intimate time of closer reflection on the poems (20.30-21.30). A light vegetarian supper is provided in between. A selection of readings is provided, but feel free to bring your own. Led by Andrew Pakula. £2 donation for supper.
