Songs and Silence for the Soul

“That was so beautiful – I had no idea I could sing like that.”

“These sessions are so good for me. I can come in feeling low and leave uplifted.”

“I like the way that different people can lead chants here when they want to. It’s built up my confidence without feeling pressured.”

Participants sing chants from the world faith traditions and sit together in candle-lit silence.

Chanting forms part of most spiritual traditions and is often regarded as a way to melt the boundaries between the material and divine realms. In these monthly group-led sessions we might include chants from Taize, Sufism, the gospel tradition, earth-spirit paths, Buddhism, Hinduism, African freedom movements along with times of shared, meditative silence and movement.

All welcome, no experience needed
