Winter Solstice Celebration and Labyrinth Walk

Celebrate the Winter Solstice with words, music, and a candle-lit labyrinth walk!

A celebration of the longest night of the year has been held by many peoples for thousands of years. We will commemorate this day in a ceremony involving words, chanting, music, silence, candle lighting, and a labyrinth walk. This will be a very special event involving symbolically bringing light into this dark time. It will end with feasting - a traditional part of the solstice celebrations!

If you would like to learn more about how Winter Solstice has been marked in many of the world's traditions, you might want to read this article at ReligiousTolerance.org.

21st December, 19.00-21.30 at Islington.
Please arrive promptly at 19.00 and bring warm socks for the labyrinth walk. We should be finished by 9 PM but please plan to stay for celebratory feasting afterwards.
