Greetings friends,
NEWS FROM THE UKS TEAM!
www.ukspirituality.org
A good friend of ours considers himself a 'Jewish Unitarian with a Buddhist practice an affinity for Pagan connection to the earth and Christian views of community.' As if that was not enough, he has just completed his first Ramadan fast...
This is for him, and for many millions of others, a spiritually vibrant time of year with the Autumn Equinox, Eid ul-Fitr, Rosh Hashanah and more coming nearly one on top of another.
These events amount to tens of millions of people praying and celebrating, giving thanks, meditating, coming together to worship, and feast. This convergence of positive energy is quite exciting. A global, multi-religion/philosophy celebration has the potential to infuse a radiant and positive life force into a world struggling with the ravages of war, poverty, and despair. Many candles, multiple paths, leading to the same place, the same light. Perhaps our friend is on to something.
UKSpirituality is here to help you tap into this convergence. We invite you to visit the web site, contribute comments to the blog, comment on programmes that you have attended, send us blog contributions by email and, especially,
get involved . Attend a workshop, dance, sing, meditate, chant... there is more to life than the busy-ness that fills our days and threatens to fill the years of our lives.
UKSpirituality is broadening the range
of topics covered in the programme listings. In fact, just this week we added a London event with Marianne Williamson, a writer's retreat in Devon, and several Quaker Quest meetings in York, Bristol and London. We hope that you will visit the website,
www.ukspirituality.org, and find an event that piques your interest - there is a lot going on this month and this coming weekend in particular. As always, we invite you to contact us at
admin@ukspirituality.org if you would like your event listed.
